Subject:
Equipment foundations, industrial premises floors
Method:
Deep injection, Slab Lifting
Problem:
No work was done to compact the backfill soils during the constructing reinforced concrete foundations and floors at building site. Due to the fact that the foundations and floors perceived the dynamic loads from the installed equipment, the civil engineers decided on the need to strengthen the soils of the foundations and floors inside the premises. This solution also was to minimizes the negative impact of dynamic loads on foundations and floor slabs for the future.
Goal:
Strengthening the soils of the foundation of equipment foundations and floors; lifting of subsided foundations and floor slabs to design marks.
Solution:
To solve this problem, a preliminary comprehensive survey of the foundations and floors was carried out, the results of which confirmed the decompaction of the base soils and the presence of voids under the floor slabs up to 50 mm. The technical solution involved the restoration of the solid foundation-soil and slab-soil contact by the compensatory injection of Uretek self-expanding resins. Subsided foundations and floors were returned to design levels.
